We have four Sports massage therapists at Attend2Health all qualified to a high level. They are available 7 days a week in Buntingford, close to Royston, Ware and Baldock.
Who is sports massage suitable for?
Sports massage is suitable for everyone. Sports massage is not just for athletes it can help anyone who has tension or would like to maintain an active lifestyle it is similar to a deep tissue massage.
A sports massage therapist has a high level of training so can identify and help reduce tightness in muscles and in turn reduce stiffness and pain. Massage, applied skilfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system.
Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.
We are just up the A10 from Ware and Hertford and 10 minutes from Royston and Baldock.

These muscle imbalances may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort or impede performance. The skilled sports massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using the correct techniques, help the sports person maintain a much healthier physical state. It may therefore be reasonably claimed that one of the greatest benefits of sports massage is in helping prevent injury.

Does a Sports Massage Hurt?
A Sports Massage shouldn’t hurt. It may feel uncomfortable if you have particularly tight muscles but you can always ask your Sports Massage Therapist to ease off the pressure and say if you would prefer the massage to be more relaxing.
Sports Massage Therapists are trained to a high level and so can feel when a muscle is tight or needs some work to ease it.
Do you recommend a regular massage?
A regular massage can help keep on top of tight muscles and can also help you to relax. For people spending a lot of time at a desk or people with a physical job having a regular massage can really help to keep aches and pains away.
Where can I park?
There is one hour parking right outside the clinic or on Baldock Road. If that is full there is 90 minutes free parking in the co-op car park a short walk away.
