Mental health affects us all. Whether it’s a colleague struggling with stress, a friend experiencing anxiety, or a family member going through a difficult time, knowing how to respond can make a real difference.

At Attend2Health in Buntingford, we’re proud to offer a Mental Health First Aid Course designed to give you the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to recognise the signs of poor mental health and provide appropriate support.

Why Take a Mental Health First Aid Course?

Just as physical first aid can save lives in an emergency, Mental Health First Aid equips people to identify when someone may be experiencing a mental health problem and respond appropriately until professional help is available.

Many people worry about saying the wrong thing or making a situation worse. This course helps remove that uncertainty by teaching evidence-based techniques that allow you to approach conversations with confidence and compassion.

Whether you’re supporting colleagues in the workplace or loved ones at home, these are skills that can benefit everyone.

Who Is This Course For?

One of the greatest things about Mental Health First Aid training is that it’s suitable for almost anyone.

This course is particularly valuable for:

  • Business owners
  • Managers and team leaders
  • HR professionals
  • Personal trainers
  • Beauty therapists
  • Coaches
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Teachers
  • Community leaders
  • Anyone who regularly works one-to-one with people
  • Anyone wanting to better support friends, family or colleagues

If you’re over the age of 18, you’re welcome to attend.

Learn From an Experienced Trainer

The course is delivered by Polly Joseph, an experienced Mental Health First Aid trainer with valuable lived experience.

Polly creates a supportive, engaging learning environment where delegates feel comfortable asking questions and discussing real-life situations. Her combination of professional knowledge and personal experience helps make the training practical, relatable and memorable.

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the two-day course you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to:
